Mains fed water dispensers
Mains fed
— models connected directly to the water mains and receive water from there. Note that almost all such devices are purifiers (see "Type") — tap water usually requires cleaning before use.The installation of such a device itself is a much more troublesome and time-consuming process than installing a bottled water cooler: the purifier must be connected to the water pipe with a hose, and this will likely require a tie-in (while the cooler only needs to be connected to an outlet). Accordingly, moving such a device from place to place is also not an easy task. Also, before buying, you need to make sure that the filtration capabilities in the selected model correspond to the properties of water. And for a maximum guarantee, it is also desirable to install separate main filters. At the same time, the filter elements require periodic maintenance — flushing or replacement. On the other hand, such maintenance is rarely required — much less than replacing the bottles in the cooler. As a result, a device with a connection to the water supply is much more convenient and unpretentious in everyday use: you do not have to monitor the amount of water in the bottle and bother with replacing containers.
