DDNS

— this abbreviation stands for "dynamic DNS", and DNS, in turn, is a domain name system, a database responsible for the relationship between a domain name (for example, m.ua) and an IP address, consisting of four groups of numbers. Network equipment uses the IP address to search for a particular node, but remembering the numbers is inconvenient, so users are guided by a domain name (or, more simply, an Internet address). The problem is that the IP of the same node (in this case, the router) can constantly change (this is suggested, in particular, by some network connection formats). In order for this node to be constantly available under the same Internet address, DDNS is used: this function ensures that the DNS is automatically updated every time the IP address changes.
