Chartplotters with man overboard function
— a specialized "rescue" function in the event of a person falling overboard or other incident requiring a return to a specific point. Usually found in devices with a chartplotter function (see "Type"): by pressing a special button, the location of the incident is fixed on the map, navigation to this point is switched on, and some models are even able to exchange signals about such emergencies with other vessels. Such features are especially important in the absence of visible landmarks, as well as in a situation where it is impossible to stop the vessel.
