— in this case, a separate piece of furniture is meant, the main purpose of which, roughly speaking, is to support the TV. Ordinary cabinets do not have special mounts, the TV is installed on the top shelf on its own stand. This design ensures maximum ease of installation and use: there is no need to drill walls and select fasteners — the cabinet is placed on the floor, a TV is placed on the cabinet. Many models are equipped with additional shelves (for example, for a DVD player). The disadvantages are the area occupied by the cabinet on the floor, as well as some chance of knocking over the TV, hitting it unsuccessfully.
