The device and functions of such a remote control may be different, depending on the purpose (see the relevant paragraph). So, in models for phones and action cameras, compact wireless remote controls are most often provided, which are responsible only for the most basic commands — taking photos and start-stop video recording. Such key fobs are usually connected via Bluetooth, with smartphones usually there are no problems, but compatibility with a specific action camera should be specified separately. In turn, advanced models for camcorders can have a wired remote control built right into the head rotation handle — it allows you to control shooting parameters (zoom, focus, etc.), while maintaining full control over the position of the camera.
