— humidifiers of this type work by heating water with an electric heater. One of the main advantages of such devices is the high efficiency and speed of humidification. In addition, the high temperature of the steam contributes to hygiene, and the devices themselves are not particularly demanding on the quality of water — in the sense that even water with impurities does not create a white plaque on surrounding objects (unlike the same ultrasonic models). However, the heater will periodically have to be cleaned of scale. Steam humidifiers quickly consume water, but this is not so much a disadvantage as a consequence of high performance. The unequivocal disadvantages of such models include high energy consumption, noise when water boils, and rather strong heating of steam: it is not so easy to get burned by them, but such a possibility still exists.
