Hardness salts

— compounds that give water increased hardness are primarily calcium and magnesium salts. A separate device is provided for purifying water from such salts — purification and softening systems that operate on the principle of ion exchange. For more details on such devices, see "Type"; here we note that if the characteristics of the purification and softening system indicate the filtration of hardness salts, then we have a classic softener, if not, a de-ironer. However, water softening is also present in classic filters.
