Actually, there are two containers in the design of such a filter: water is poured into the upper one, which flows by gravity through the filter element into the lower one. Jugs are the best option for kitchens where you do not have to cook a lot: they are as simple as possible to use, do not require connection to anything and can play the role of not only a filter as such, but also a storage for filtered water. Among the shortcomings, one can note low productivity, a small resource and the need for manual filling.
