Traction control game controllers
Traction control
— the presence of a draft regulator in the design or delivery set of the manipulator. This function, as the name suggests, is used to control engine thrust and is intended mainly for flight simulators and other similar genres (for example, space "flyers"). Accordingly, it is found exclusively among joysticks, steering wheels and aircraft instruments (see "Device"); in this case, the specific design of the draft regulator may be different. The simplest option is a slider or lever right on the base of the joystick; such equipment is inexpensive and at the same time can be quite convenient and functional. There is also a draft regulator in the form of a separate device — a handle (or several handles) on its own basis. This arrangement is sometimes referred to by the abbreviation HOTAS (literally translated as "hands on the control stick and draft regulator"); it corresponds as much as possible to how the control is organized in real aircraft, however, manipulators with this feature, usually, are not cheap.
