However, Bluetooth v.5 itself does not guarantee "zero latency": for competitive gaming, a 2.4 GHz dongle or wired USB connection often feels faster because the latency depends not only on the Bluetooth version but also on its implementation in the gamepad and the receiver in your device. Thus, a gamepad with Bluetooth v.5 is convenient to connect to a smartphone for cloud gaming and to a TV for sofa games, while for shooters on a PC, Bluetooth can be kept as a backup mode, and play via cable or dongle.
