CD-RW

— CDs (compact discs) are the oldest type of optical disc in use today. Holds about 650 – 700 MB of data, or 74 – 80 minutes of sound (music) in CD-Audio format. Such discs are read by all modern optical drives. However in computer technology they are considered completely obsolete due to the spread of DVD, Blu-ray and other types of drives. However, CDs are still quite popular as a means of recording music — the quality of CD-Audio is quite consistent with the Hi-Fi standard and satisfies the requirements of not only unpretentious listeners, but also experienced music lovers.

CD-RW is a rewritable type of CD. On such a medium, information can be written and erased many times.
