In the Asus range of computer cases, the main stars are the members of the ROG Strix family. These are usually large, heavy and fashionable chassis with plenty of backlighting, a durable metal frame, solid case cooling and a variety of premium features. In contrast, the TUF series includes stylish and well-designed, but more affordable Midi Tower cases, which are usually chosen by most users.

Compared to ROG Strix cases, TUF models have a number of simplifications: they are smaller in size, the metal is usually thinner, and the emphasis on the backlight is less pronounced. However, their interiors are also often designed to accommodate large graphics cards and tower coolers. And the case can be richly decorated with lighting, but not as complex as in the case of ROG Strix cases.

Depending on the specific TUF model, the number of standard fans can reach 4 pieces, which in itself greatly simplifies the assembly and installation of the final system. Mandatory elements of the program are a hidden wiring system, an inspection window and a front panel with a modern port configuration. But pre-installed power supplies are not found here. Thus, almost any Asus TUF chassis can become a more affordable and at the same time hassle-free alternative to the flagship ROG Strix cases.

At the time of writing (note: December 2023), Asus has introduced half a dozen TUF chassis, which are noticeably different in terms of design. For example, if the original Asus TUF GT501VC of 2020 was painted in black and orange TUF colors, then the snow-white models GT501 and GT502 that came after it are visually more reminiscent of Prime cases. In this way, the manufacturer strives to support the demand for snow-white components that are fashionable today.
