Camping tent

— the simplest kind of tent: a piece of canvas, usually square or rectangular. When installed, such a canvas is stretched between trees, poles or other supports and plays the role of a roof. Some camping tents can be completed with their own supports and installed in the form of a gable tent, but most often there is no own frame in the design. All products of this type are designed exclusively for protection from the sun and, to some extent, from rain; and installing a camping awning can be quite a hassle, because you need to find supports and figure out exactly how to fix the canvas between them. On the other hand, camping tents are light and very compact when folded, they can be a great alternative to tents when size and weight are critical (for example, on a long trip).
