For a wide variety of reasons, we're big fans of the superlight MSR Hubba Hubba NX 3-Person 3-Season Tent because it packs down small, weighs next to nothing, breathes deeper than our yogi, and still stands up to years of camping adventures. Light in the pack but tough on the ground, the 20D nylon ripstop bathtub floor pulls it weight by protecting our crew and our gear when it starts to rain. Water stays on the outside due to a combination of DWR and PU coatings. Vents on all four sides let the crosswinds blow to keep the inside air fresh. The nylon ripstop rainfly uses PU and silicone coatings to keep water from creeping inside.

The MSR Front Range Ultralight Tarp Shelter packs small so we can stuff more gear for alpine climbs and ski traverses. Its frameless, floorless design is easy to set up with the included stakes and one of our ski poles, or trekking poles if it's summertime. It can be a shelter for sleep, a sun shade against mid-day sunshine, or a dining room for sussing beta and eating dinner with the whole crew. We also like pairing the Front Range with MSR's Front Range Bug/Floor Insert (sold separately) for greater coverage from buggy, muddy environments.

Prevent your tent from blowing away in gusty conditions or succumbing to heavy downpours with the MSR Tent Guy Lines. These guy lines are comprised of 3mm reflective nylon rope, each with either 8-foot or 10-foot length for properly staking down the corners of your tent, rain fly, or tarp shelter. They include CamRing tensioners for keeping the line taught, which is great for keeping moisture from leaking inside the corners of your tent.

If you've ever busted a tent stake or tried opening your beer with a rock, you're well aware of the fact that the MSR Stake Hammer is a sight for sore eyes. This lightweight hammer is designed to make your camping experience all the more amenable thanks to its hardy aluminum shaft and stainless steel composition. Not to mention, the integrated bottle opener is bound to come in handy when push comes to shove—so you can say goodbye to sipping on beer-flavored small pebbles and glass slivers.

No matter how well we take care of our gear, the shock cord in our tent poles starts to fail over time. With the MSR Shock Cord Replacement Kit we can re-thread our tent poles and restore the life of our favorite tent. The 3. 5mm silicone-core shock cord lasts way longer than natural rubber and even stays elastic all the way down to -40F.

From guying out your tent to hanging up your food out of reach of critters, the MSR Reflective Utility Cord Set is up for the job. The 3mm diameter makes this cord durable yet lightweight, and the added reflectivity ensures you won't accidentally trip over your guylines when you're walking around camp in the dark. Four of MSR's CamRing Cord Tensioners are included to make tensioning the system easy, eliminating the need for you to tie knots in the cord.

MSR's Adjustable Tent Pole is tough, lightweight, and can be used with any shelter. MSR Adjustable Tent Poles come in three lengths, 1. 2 meter, 1. 5 meter, and 2. 4 meters, and adjust from 47 to 51 inches, 51 to 60 inches and 82 to 102 inches, respectively.
