Three main types of tents do not have such a frame. The first is canvas tents (see "Purpose"), which do not need a frame in principle. The second is gable tents, where there are two supports, and the necessary tension of the awning is provided exclusively by stretch marks. And the third is models with an inflatable frame: it is light and easy to use, but sensitive to damage. If you need a classic tent with a rigid frame, you should use this selection point.
