The supersonic speed of SSD drives in a gaming PC is, of course, good, but what about the volumes? Hard drives with a volume of several terabytes do not come out every day and cost decent money, and the once optimal 500 GB is now filled with literally five or six games. Looking at all this, Seagate in the spring of 2021 presented a completely new series of unusual FireCuda Gaming portable gaming hard drives.

The unusualness of the series is manifested in its design. Firstly, these are rare external hard drives with full RGB lighting and a built-in Razer Chroma synchronization system, with which FireCuda Gaming can learn to glow in time with other components. Secondly, they are connected to the computer using the modern USB 3.2 gen1 protocol, thereby minimizing the impact of the connection on the data exchange rate.

Well, the most important thing is the format. In addition to the usual external hard drive, FireCuda Gaming introduced a massive gaming hub FireCuda Gaming Hub. This NAS-like box with a backlight and multiple drives is capable of storing up to 16 TB of information inside. Unlike the hub, the FireCuda Gaming hard drive is available in more modest volumes — 1, 2 and 5 TB. According to Seagate, both devices will provide the player with the necessary storage space for even a very large collection of games.

FireCuda Gaming drives are designed for use with a computer or laptop based on Windows and MacOS operating systems. To work with the Xbox and PlayStation consoles, Seagate has a separate series of Game Drive external SSD drives.
