Thunderbolt v3 HDD
USB C Thunderbolt v3
— connecting with Thunderbolt v3.Thunderbolt is a universal interface used, among other things, to connect peripherals; it is popular in Apple computers and laptops, but is also found in other manufacturers. And version v3 provides data transfer speeds up to 40 Gbps and, unlike earlier versions, uses a USB-C type hardware connector. Therefore, drives with this connection, usually, also support one of USB-C's own standards — USB-C 3.2 gen1 or USB-C 3.2 gen2; moreover, both types of connection (both USB-C and Thunderbolt) are carried out through one hardware connector and one cable, and the electronics of the drive automatically determines which port it is connected to.
