USB C 3.2 gen2
— connected via USB-C 3.2 gen2 (formerly USB-C 3.1 gen2 and USB-C 3.1).USB-C is a relatively new type of connector used both in PCs and laptops, and in portable gadgets; some hard drives with this connection can also be used with smartphones and tablets. The connector itself has a fairly miniature size (slightly larger than microUSB) and a two-sided design that allows you to connect the plug to either side. It is also worth noting that the same type of plug is used in the Thunderbolt v3 interface (see the relevant paragraph), so in some USB-C drives it is responsible for two connection formats at once — both USB itself and Thunderbolt (with automatic detection when connected to one way or another).
As of version 3.2 gen2, it provides data transfer speeds up to 10 Gbps — twice as much as in the previous version 3.2 gen1 — and also supports power supply up to 100 W (with USB Power Delivery).
