miniDisplayPort Thunderbolt v2
— connecting with Thunderbolt v2.Thunderbolt is a universal interface used, among other things, to connect peripherals; it is popular in Apple computers and laptops, but is also found in other manufacturers. And version v2 provides data transfer rates up to 20 Gbps and uses a hardware connector identical to the miniDispalyPort video connector. However, we emphasize that such a drive cannot be connected to a regular miniDispalyPort, it will require a Thunderbolt input — ideally, version v2, this will allow you to fully realize the possibilities of such a connection. However, connecting to an earlier v1 is possible without much difficulty (except that the data transfer rate will be limited to 10 Gbps); but for Thunderbolt v3, an adapter will already be required, since this version uses a USB-C connector.
