Infrared quartz heaters

Quartz

— a heater in the form of a sealed tube made of quartz glass, inside which there is an electric spiral (usually tungsten), which serves as a source of infrared radiation. Air is pumped out of the tube, which prevents oxidation of the spiral. This is the simplest, cheapest and, as a result, most common type of heater. Its disadvantages are a fairly high operating temperature, leading to dust combustion and increasing the likelihood of burns, as well as a relatively short service life of the spiral.
