2.1 computer speakers
2.1
— acoustic systems of two stereo speakers, complemented by a subwoofer — a separate speaker for low and ultra-low frequencies.Features of stereo acoustics are described in detail in paragraph "2.0", here we just recall that two is the minimum number of main channels, which allows achieving a certain volume of sound. The subwoofer, in turn, provides powerful and rich bass that cannot be achieved on the speakers of the general range (it is usually more reasonable to use a separate “sub” for this purpose, rather than installing a bass speaker in each of the speakers). Anyway, this improves the sound, but it is especially desirable to have a subwoofer for sound in games and movies (for more details, see "Purpose"). However, of course, such kits are more expensive than 2.0 format systems, and they take up more space.
Also note that it is necessary to evaluate the total power of acoustics with a subwoofer according to special rules; see "Power" for details.
