AptX-enabled computer speakers
AptX
— support for aptX, an audio codec designed to improve sound quality when connected via Bluetooth (see the relevant paragraph). One of the features of such a connection is that the sound is highly compressed and its quality is reduced; aptX eliminates this shortcoming. According to the creators, due to this technology it is possible to achieve sound quality comparable to Audio CD 16-bit/44.1kHz. Thanks to this, the difference with a regular Bluetooth connection becomes noticeable even on ordinary MP3 files; and for listening to high-quality materials in lossless formats, aptX is simply irreplaceable.Of course, to use this codec, it must be supported not only by the speakers, but also by the signal source. Also note that here we are talking about the original aptX; there are two more versions of this codec (aptX HD with even higher quality and aptX LL to eliminate sound delays), but for a number of reasons they are practically not found in computer speakers.
