TVs LG series NanoCell
LG NanoCell (2022)
NanoCell is one of LG's LED screen technology. It got its name thanks to a special layer consisting of nanoparticles deposited on top of the screen. Nanoparticles filter out dull colors, so full-screen backlighting delivers vibrant, true-to-life colors from any viewing angle and lighting conditions.
Interestingly, the 2022 NanoCell lineup has thinned out a bit and moved down a notch in the brand hierarchy. The top NanoCell 9 model has evolved and moved to the QNED Mini LED family, and only the simpler NanoCell 7X and NanoCell 8X models have remained in the range. Their differences lie in the use of different backlighting (Direct or Edge), the presence of a local dimming function and the number of HDMI connectors. Otherwise, their capabilities are exactly the same as each other and generally do not go beyond entry-level TVs.
In particular, there is not a single model with a full-matrix backlight, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, support for AMD FreeSync / G-Sync, VRR and other goodies. Usually, everything is limited to supporting HDR content, the ability to display a picture in 4K and simple auto-finishing functions for which the Alpha 5 Gen 5 proprietary processor is responsible. Thus, NanoCell 2022 TVs are designed for people who are looking for a high-quality, but not overloaded with functions TV smart shell, voice control and AirPlay 2 support.
