— the two digits used in the IP marking indicate the level of resistance to various types of influences: the first indicates the degree of protection against foreign objects and dust, the second — against moisture. In this case, the first digit "2" means protection against the penetration of objects with a diameter of up to 12.5 mm (in particular, fingers); and the second digit "0" indicates that the product, in principle, is not designed for contact with moisture and does not retain it. However, for use at home or other similar conditions, such characteristics are more than enough; while the advantages of a modest level of protection are the simplicity of design and low cost.
