Vertical frames for sockets and switches
Vertical frame
— strictly defined placement options (horizontal or vertical) are mainly frames designed for switches (although often allowing use with sockets). Such devices are usually fixed in the product in a certain position, and if the frame is placed non-standard, then the switch located in it will be turned (which is at least unusual, and often inconvenient).Note that only frames for 2 posts or more can be vertical; for models for one post that are not universal, only the “horizontal” option is indicated in the characteristics. However, even taking into account this nuance, this method of placing switches is less popular than horizontal. There are a number of reasons for this, not the least of which are ergonomics and psychological comfort: most users are intuitively more comfortable with horizontal placement of sockets / switches, and they resort to vertical placement mainly where this is due to design or furnishings requirements (for example, for a horizontal frame, just not enough space in width).
