— clothing of this type covers the body to the very hind legs, and also, most often, the neck. But sleeves in sweaters for dogs, usually, are absent. Also note that the name "sweater" is rather conditional in the sense that outwardly some models are more reminiscent of vests or jackets.

In general, a sweater can be a good alternative to overalls: it protects the pet well from the cold, while putting on “clothes” only on the front paws is easier than on all 4 at once.
