Biothane collars

Biothane

— synthetic material, which is a tape made of durable synthetic fabric (for example, nylon — see the relevant paragraph) in a protective polymer shell. It is presented by manufacturers as an extremely reliable and advanced solution, devoid of most of the shortcomings of classic materials like leather or nylon. In fact, thanks to the protective coating, biothane does not absorb moisture and pollution, it can be cleaned well, does not fade under the sun, does not harden in the cold and tolerates abrasion and accidental contact with sharp objects better than ordinary uncoated fabric. The overall strength of such products is also high, and it does not require special care. The main disadvantage of biothane collars is that they have a higher cost than nylon.
