At the same time, in many collars, not only microphones are provided for this, but also sensors that respond to vibrations of the vocal cords; this increases the accuracy of the trigger and minimizes the chance of reacting to extraneous sounds or the voices of other dogs. When triggered, the correction system is activated, which provides an unpleasant effect for the animal. The principle of such an impact can be different, one of the most popular options is an ultrasonic signal that is inaudible to a person, but unpleasant for a dog. In some advanced models, a more complex correction is used, with increasing intensity: if the barking does not stop, then first an ultrasonic warning signal is given, then a vibration signal, and after a while — a safe, but tangible electric shock.
