Carbon and kevlar motorcycle helmets

Carbon / kevlar

— a somewhat simplified version of "pure carbon" helmets: the shell does not consist of pure carbon fibre, but of layers of carbon and kevlar. For carbon, see the relevant paragraph, while Kevlar is somewhat inferior to it in strength and weighs more, but it is also cheaper. However, this combination is still lighter and stronger than fibreglass with Kevlar or even fibreglass with carbon.
