Open face motorcycle helmets

— helmets that leave the rider's face open (a folding visor may be provided, but anyway there is no protection for the jaw). Among such models, two main varieties can be distinguished — 3/4 helmets and helmets (Braincap). Three-quarter models cover the entire or almost the entire head, except for the face; the level of protection in such products is somewhat lower than in integrals and other closed types, they are recommended to be used at low speeds. On the other hand, the helmet does not need to be removed while talking, drinking or eating. In turn, in motorcycle helmets that cover only the upper half of the head, the level of protection is generally minimal — such “helmets” are used either for formal compliance with traffic rules, or as an accessory to create an image; in the event of any serious accident, they are not designed.
