Like the original swords we have studied, our replica offers a long, wide blade with twin fully sharpened edges and a broad point. To reduce weight, increase hardiness, and maximize eye appeal we have added a broad fuller in the middle of the blade. The hilt of Norman Sword has also seen equal attention featuring upturned, spatulated quillons, a leather-over-wood grip and a modified cocked hat pommel. This pommel shape was chosen because it allows greater articulation of the hand while counter balancing the long heavy blade.
