Introduced in the fall of 2021, the Xerox colour printer has expanded the Phaser branded line. It combines devices for home and small offices that combine reliability, decent performance and ease of setup. With the latter aspect, both the monochrome display, which complements the push-button controls, and the flexible wireless connectivity options should help. There is a Wi-Fi module with support for AirPrint and Wi-Fi Direct for direct printing from a smartphone.

The Xerox C230 printer uses laser technology (resolution 600x600 dpi) and is capable of maintaining a print speed of 22 ppm in both black and white and colour (first print out in 11 seconds). The recommended monthly duty cycle is 1,500 pages, but if necessary, it can be increased to a peak of 30,000 pages. A set of four standard cartridges will provide 1,500 prints in monochrome and colour. And in order to change consumables less often, you can use high-capacity toners. Another important advantage should be support for automatic two-sided printing: users do not need to turn the sheets themselves.

The Xerox C230 color laser printer is a simple and functional model, ideal for both home and small office use.

Monthly print volumes

Under standard operating conditions, the printer is capable of printing up to 1,500 pages of text per month. However, if necessary, this volume can be increased to 30 thousand prints. The initial cartridges installed in the device provide printing of up to 500 pages, which is three times less than that of standard toner cartridges. Also available are black and color cartridges with increased capacity, which can print up to 3,000 and 2,500 pages, respectively.

Performance indicators

The first page prints in 11 seconds, starting from a completely switched-off state. The print speed in both black and white and color modes reaches 22 pages per minute. The printer uses laser technology with a maximum resolution of 600x600 dpi, which is sufficient for printing texts, but may not provide high detail of graphic images.

Connection interfaces

The device's arsenal includes a network LAN connector, a Wi-Fi 4 wireless adapter, and a standard USB-port type B. Via Wi-Fi, the printer supports Mopria and Apple AirPrint printing technologies. Additionally, the model is equipped with an automatic two-sided printing function and a convenient push-button control panel with a monochrome display for displaying information.
