The entry-level 3.5″ internal hard drive from the 2012 WD Green line of affordable consumer HDDs. This family includes two models with a volume of 1 and 4 TB, which are designed to store user data and solve a wide range of tasks that do not create a significant I / O load. It is positioned as a product of the basic price category, intended for use in home and office configurations.
Differs in the most affordable cost, suitable for installation in personal computers, multimedia centers and external HDD-cases. The standard terabyte capacity is enough to store working project files, SD/HD/UHD media content and backups. Not recommended for use as a system drive, good when paired with a more performant HDD or SSD drive. The WD Green WD10EZRX hard drive demonstrates a decent sequential read/write speed (up to 180 Mbps according to CrystalDiskMark) and has an impressive amount of cache memory (64 MB). Inside the device is one high-capacity magnetic platter and a pair of read/write heads. Proprietary IntelliPower technology provides the optimal balance of performance and energy efficiency. The drive shows high efficiency (power consumption in active use up to 3.7 W) and does not require a separate active cooling system.

Excellent purchase. Good hard drive. Fast, quiet, SATA III, what is especially pleasing is the presence of 64MB cache. Great. If desired, you can install the system on the hard drive if you're reluctant to spend money on an SSD, and use the operating system comfortably. It doesn't heat up much. So far, everything is fine with the hard drive. There haven't been any problems, and no bad sectors have appeared in the past six months.  Zheka: use WD WD30EZRX few months |
