One of the older models of built-in (internal) 3.5" form factor hard drives from the line of affordable consumer HDDs WD Green of 2011. The WD Green family includes a range of models with capacities from 500 GB to 4 TB, designed for storing user data and handling tasks that do not put significant load on the drive. Positioned as a basic price category product of 2011, intended for use in home and office configurations.
The WD Green WD30EZRX hard drive stands out for its affordable price and can be installed in PCs, multimedia centers, and HDD cases. The standard capacity of 3 TB (3000 GB) is quite sufficient for storing work project files, a media content library, and important backups. Not recommended for use as a system drive, it performs well when paired with a high-performance SSD. It demonstrates decent sequential read/write speed, and has an impressive cache size of 64 MB. Inside the device, there are 3 magnetic plates and 6 read/write heads. The proprietary IntelliPower technology provides an optimal balance of performance and energy efficiency. The drive shows respectable efficiency and can operate with passive cooling.

Excellent purchase. Good hard drive. Fast, quiet, SATA III, what is especially pleasing is the presence of 64MB cache. Great. If desired, you can install the system on the hard drive if you're reluctant to spend money on an SSD, and use the operating system comfortably. It doesn't heat up much. So far, everything is fine with the hard drive. There haven't been any problems, and no bad sectors have appeared in the past six months.  Zheka: use WD WD30EZRX few months |
Advised to get a lot of storage for a reasonable price from a reputable brand, I bought it and have no regrets. Bought it for home use - massive media library, didn't want to overpay so I went for the green 3TB. Quiet operation, especially compared to my old drive. After 2 hours of watching a movie and simultaneously copying from the old drive, it barely heated up. The old one could practically fry an egg. Affordable, high-quality, from WD The Green series has always been associated with quality and stability for me. This hard drive has upheld this standard. Very budget-friendly price for the quality of a well-known brand, considering the drive is also cool and very quiet. As a system disk, it's better to use an SSD, and this drive - as home storage.
