This family includes 10 models with capacities from 4 GB to 18 TB, which are optimized for handling resource-intensive tasks and digital content processing. Positioned as a product in the upper part of the mid-price range, intended for use in high-performance multipurpose and gaming systems.
Perfectly suitable for workstations addressing audio/video editing issues. It may interest computer gaming enthusiasts and those who prefer to build PCs themselves. The Toshiba X300 HDWR11AEZSTA hard drive can be used as a system storage device, operated as part of RAID arrays level 0/1, or work in tandem with a more high-speed system SSD. The capacity of 10 TB is sufficient for installing games, significant volumes of FullHD/UltraHD media content, as well as backing up working project files. The drive features an air-filled hermoblock and is equipped with a powerful controller working in conjunction with a 256 MB buffer. I have been using this hard drive for over 2 months, and here's what I want to say. Firstly, it's really noisy, there are hard drives that are 3 times quieter, but they lag behind it in speed by 2 times, so you have to sacrifice either speed or silence. In the end, it doesn't make noise constantly, but periodically, I'd say about 50% of the time, taking breaks for silence. Secondly, it doesn't overheat, operates at +29-35℃ even in +35℃ heat. Thirdly, its operating speed is at the highest level, truly unmatched for the price. And fourthly, it inexplicably "pauses" for 3-5 seconds periodically like my 7-year-old WD Green, even though it's only 2 months old. Packaging - to each their own. 7200 - fast, the speed will be noticeable on large files. 128M - twice as much as competitors. IMHO - the best disk for its price for a file archive, but not for RAID. You can't set it up in a RAID array... it's a pity. The warranty could have been 5 years... This drive is not for industrial systems... use Toshiba HDWE140EZSTA month or more |
