Upgrade of the popular tournament model
The BlackWidow TE Chroma V2 is an updated version of Razer's popular tournament keyboard. Like last time, the mechanics of this model are based on the "green" switches that Razer developed as an alternative to the popular Cherry MX switches. They have a high response speed, soft key travel and a rather loud click when triggered. Razer claims to have involved professional esports players in the development and, thanks to numerous tests, was able to optimize the actuation / reset points and reduce the distance of the keys to return to their original position.
Brushes in comfort
Appearance BlackWidow TE Chroma V2 as a whole continues the tradition of laconic design, typical for this line. The smooth, matte surface of the top panel is accentuated by beveled edges at the front and back, and the logo in the form of a three-headed snake flaunts in the middle. The main upgrade compared to previous BlackWidow models was an unusual palm rest. Instead of simple plastic, here we are dealing with a rather comfortable pillow that takes the shape of the palms and is trimmed with leatherette that is pleasant to the touch. It is attached with magnetic latches, which is also very convenient.
RGB lighting with zoning and multiple modes of operation
As for the RGB lighting, it is configured using the proprietary Razer Synapse application. This is the second version of the programme and Razer has eaten more than one dog here in terms of convenience and functionality. In it, you can set the colour of each key or set up specific zones, set the brightness level and select one of the modes (breathing, fire, and others), as well as score sets of macros, link individual sets to each specific game, etc.
