The premium hair dryer from the Philips 8000 series is equipped with an advanced BLDC brushless DC motor, spinning at 110,000 revolutions per minute and generating an airflow speed of 228 km/h. Despite having a power of only 1400 watts, it consumes 50% less energy compared to other high-speed Philips hair dryers, yet provides the most powerful drying in the range. Despite its high performance, the hair dryer weighs only 395 grams, making it the lightest high-speed device by Philips.

The ThermoShield Advanced technology features special sensors that detect ambient temperature up to 200 times per second and adjust the drying temperature, preventing hair from overdrying. The innovative Dual Airstream system draws in air from two inlets simultaneously, condensing them into a single powerful stream. The ionization function generates up to 200 million negative ions and water ions, making hair feel soft, flexible, and healthy-looking. The Philips 8000 Series BHD839/00 offers flexible control with 3 airflow speeds and 7 temperature settings ranging from 45 to 95 °C.

In addition, there are 4 automatic programs: a fast mode for maximum drying speed, ThermoShield Advanced for hair protection, a hot and cold air alternating mode, and a special gentle mode for scalp care and fine hair. The memory function automatically activates the last used settings upon power-on. The auto-cleaning mode significantly simplifies maintenance: simply activate it, and the fan blades will reverse direction, self-cleaning the filter from dust. The package includes an 8 mm magnetic nozzle concentrator, which easily attaches and detaches for targeted drying and precise hairstyling.
