The best option for a small room

The Mackie MR624 is a mid-size model of a monitor for sound recording and mixing, equipped with a 6.5-inch speaker and a proprietary logarithmic waveguide. As in the case of the younger model Mackie MR524, the MR series deserves more attention, since in terms of sound quality and purity it is almost as good as the popular JBL LSR series. The reason for the modest popularity lies rather in weak advertising support and the fact that the Mackie brand has not yet achieved the same reputation as more famous competitors.

Proprietary logarithmic waveguide

The hallmark of the MR series is the Mackie-developed logarithmic waveguide, first used in the professional HR and XR models. Together with the Acoustic Space switch, which allows the sound to be adjusted depending on the placement of the speakers, the MR624 provides a wide position for optimal listening. Unlike traditional monitors, which require strictly symmetrical placement for accurate sound, the Mackie MR624 offers more flexible adjustment and does not cause fatigue even over long listening periods.

Accurate, balanced sound

For its price range, the Mackie MR624 pleases with high-quality sound. Low frequencies sound clear, but not dominant, mids remain detailed, and high frequencies are smooth and clean, avoiding excessive brightness. 65-watt amplifiers for each monitor maintain accuracy at any volume level, which makes the Mackie MR624 universal: they are suitable for a home studio, for use as music speakers or multimedia acoustics for cinema and games.
