A range of near-top all-around laptops that provide a simpler and more affordable alternative to the armor-piercing premium laptops of the ThinkPad family. In many ways, both lines are very similar - both use a shockproof MIL-STD-810 class made of lightweight aluminium, a modern hardware platform from AMD or Intel, as well as the most modern equipment, including USB 4 ports, support for NVMe, Full HD webcam with omnidirectional microphones and other useful things in everyday life.

The difference from ThinkPad laptops is to simplify some of the little things and save on useful, but not paramount things like Face ID, DDR5 memory, and an integrated graphics card. The top build with Core i7, 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage will cost a potential buyer $1,200. All configuration options are equipped with 15.6-inch IPS displays with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels (16:9 aspect ratio), increased brightness margin (300 cd / m2), modest color reproduction and built-in filters to protect eyesight. To organize high-quality video communication, a webcam with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels and a pair of omnidirectional microphones is provided.

The ergonomic keyboard is designed for long typing, backlit and water-repellent. The massive touchpad supports gesture control. User data protection tools in this series usually include a TPM cryptographic encryption and authorization module, a fingerprint scanner (combined with the power button) and an “anti-theft” lock. The battery life declared by the manufacturer can reach 8 hours in the mode of browsing or watching video. Fast charging can half fill the empty "tanks" in 30 minutes. With a body thickness of 18.9 mm and a weight of 1.7 kg, the ThinkBook 15 is an interesting travel laptop with excellent battery life and a shockproof body.
