Model overview based on user reviews
The Lenovo Legion 5 15ARH05 is a well-regarded laptop, praised for its snappy performance, good picture quality on the webcam, and pleasant keyboard. It features a 120Hz screen and a thoughtfully designed cooling system, making it suitable for gaming and work. Users appreciate the ample USB ports and the ability to expand storage and RAM. However, some drawbacks include screen light leakage, poor sound quality, and limited RAM upgradeability. The laptop's design is streamlined and not overly "gaming", appealing to those who prefer a more subtle aesthetic. Despite some technical issues, such as WiFi connectivity problems and screen brightness calibration, the Legion 5 is considered a very decent laptop for its price, with many users recommending it for its overall performance and value.

Overall a very good laptop. I hope in the current models they corrected the shortcomings

When you take it from your hand for the first time, you can feel how cool it is, there’s nothing to creak, the lid opens easily, the materials are made of the same amount. One of the finest laptop keyboards. There are a lot of different ports and heads, most of which, including charging, are located in the back, for those who like order on the table itself. It was cooled down in this place, there were no problems with noise or temperatures. Quite a bad microphone and webcam, like for a laptop. Updating drivers and running a laptop through the standard security software is quite simple and straightforward. Guarantee 2 years, a little longer, which is easy to track through the official website and Lenovo Vantage, in competitors of all 1 years. A good set of functional keys and their manual operation. I also call before the attack and here it is, if in many laptops there are new ones. Full size arrows, just what racing enthusiasts need. 120 hertz screen is still the minimum for all monitors. Normal sound from speakers, plus enhanced sound from Lenovo Vantage software. The ability to easily switch between desktop and discrete graphics for maximum productivity in games.
After a decade of development, a dozen technical shortcomings emerged. If the laptop is running with the built-in Vega graphics and you are watching the video in the browser (for example, YouTube), then there will be moments when the video fades out (this will happen if you open the notification panel and the center of the server will be removed). and terminated/restarted the video), I think through a conflict of video card drivers , if you connect to another work. If you turn on Vega and drink only Nvidia, then there is no such problem. There is also a glitch with an Ethernet cable, if you connect your laptop to Wi-Fi, then the Internet speed does not rise above 10 megabits, which can be fixed by rebooting the laptop (problem on Windows 11, on Vi ndows 10 without checking). It doesn’t show any brightness to the screen and the dark color doesn’t convey much. There is no card reader, but this will not be a minus for everyone. Only two levels of backlighting.

Legion 5 15ARH05 as a good, comfortable and cool laptop for gaming or work
14 November 2022
I have a Legion 5 15ARH05 82B500GVRA and I have something to say. It's a light, elegant, cool, high-performance machine for its time. It was purchased in December 2019 at the Comfy store (26,000 UAH). During its time, I upgraded the RAM to 16 gigabytes and not long ago added a 1 terabyte M2 SSD (512 was never enough). It handles almost all modern games on low settings, with most running on high-ultra settings in FullHD 60FPS. In terms of temperatures, in the summer the GPU temperature was 76 degrees while playing Warzone (a stable 70 frames in Verdansk on low settings). Typically, the GPU (GTX1650Mobile) heats up to 60 degrees during games, and the processor (R5 4600H) heats up to 70 degrees in "blue mode". Blue, white, and red modes do not affect frames in games but significantly affect the processor's heat, with the processor's turbo boost operating in its own way. Externally, it looks restrained, without flashy elements. It's not embarrassing to take it to a meeting. The internals are well thought out, with a choice between the type of second storage, M2 or SATA 2.5 (you can't place both simultaneously in one spot as they block each other). For the second one, there is a removable chassis with a cap where you can insert a cable after switching to M2. I was bothered by the absence of a heat shield for the drive but pleased with the possibility of boosting battery capacity (L19C4PC0 originally at 60 watt-hours, with L19C4PC1 available at 80 watt-hours). The cooling is not too noisy, but you can install the unofficial Legion Fan Control and adjust the fan speeds with temperatures.
Performance in games.
Thoughtfully designed, low-noise cooling system.
A second drive can be installed, with two format options to choose from, including a cover with screws.
Legion Vantage, significantly expanding the device's functionality (including unlocking built-in graphics).
Slippery touchpad
Convenient but uninformative UEFI with limited settings, easy to reinstall the OS due to the drive selection on the main screen.
Fast factory drive (micron mtfdhba512tdv-1az1aabla)
Not very convenient to disassemble, no access panels for easy replacement of components.
Slots in the touchpad where dust and dirt get in.
The construction of the cooling system, inability to remove the fan for cleaning without disassembling it.
Blue screens with error FBNetFlt.sys (due to Vantage and an outdated BIOS).

great model, love it

I am quite satisfied, and many others are too. There is an opinion that this is the best laptop of 2020! I agree. But if I had found a 4600 + 1660Ti + screen (60 or 144Hz with 300 brightness), I would be absolutely happy. However, I bought a 4600 + 1650Ti + 120Hz 250Nit screen. I couldn't find what I was looking for in Ukraine! If anyone knows where to get it, message me privately! Overall, I highly recommend it! And those who say there's nothing special are just copy-pasting "enemies" :)
Overall, a VERY DECENT LAPTOP for its price!
No card reader, had to buy separately! The screen brightness is quite low and the brightness adjustment is terribly calibrated! (I always keep it at 100%, which affects the lifespan) It's very difficult to find the configuration that suits your needs, marketers truly earn their pay, you have to compromise on something when choosing!
