They are positioned as a product of the middle price category, intended for a wide range of ordinary users who are fond of computer games, novice e-sportsmen and professional gamers.
Fully covering the ears, the ear pads are made of a special soft material that has memory and follows the anatomical features of the player's head. The microphone is mounted on an adjustable elastic shaft, which easily takes any shape. HyperX Cloud Core headphones are equipped with a round non-detachable metre cable in a durable fabric braid with a straight plug and a 4-pin mini-Jack 3.5mm connector. - Decent sound. Quite clear, quite bass-heavy. You'll still need to tweak the equalizer if music sound quality is important to you. (I listen to extreme genres of music) - Removable microphone and a cap to close the microphone spot - It's great that there's an option with a short cable for output only, and an extension cable is included with two plugs, one for headphones and one for the microphone. - I like how they look. Black and red. Not bulky, neat yet sturdy, critical parts are metal. The docking sides of the headphones have a metallic surface. Style, damn it, style. - Cable quality is good. Plug is gold-plated. Cable is braided. Plug is sturdy, adequately sized, and convenient for simple manipulations with the socket. - They stay well on the head. Ears don't hurt. I also do strength exercises with them – they don't fall off! Overall, I don't get tired of them, weight is good. - A friend has Sennheiser – I can't say these are worse. In the meantime, nothing. Except someone might complain about insufficient maximum volume. But it's enough for me. They are NOT quiet! Of course, I'm careful with them, but in six months nothing has happened, nothing has changed. |
I've been using it for 3 years now - the ear pads are a little worn out from the inside and the bowls are scratched => Great material, will last a long time! Excellent sound! Pleasant earpads Good build and quality of materials -Poor microphone, need to use enhancement in computer settings. Yes, almost all gaming headphone models have poor sound, but compared to competitors - not bad. -Short cord without using an extension. use HyperX Cloud Core 7.1 more than year |
I went to check the prices and decided to leave a review. These are simply indestructible headphones, the sound and mic are just amazing; if you buy a sound card for them, they will compare in sound and mic quality to the Cloud Core 2. Design After 3 years I changed the ambiances use HyperX Cloud Core 7.1 more than year |
Kingston is known for its high-quality yet affordable PC peripherals, not least of which is the HyperX Cloud line of gaming headsets. The Core model is a simple and practical solution for a computer starting at $60.
Convenience and practicality
The design of the headphones is classic for overhead closed models and is made without frills. The colour scheme is dominated by black, except for the red HyperX logo on the oval cups and the same red stitching that is stitched on the headband. The assembly is solid, the materials used are soft-touch plastic for the bowls, aluminium in the headband and high-quality leatherette for the ear pads. The latter wrap tightly around the ears, but do not tyre or press, thanks to the memory foam.
Microphone
The neck of the microphone is long enough to speak directly into it. Wind protection cuts off unnecessary noise, and plus, thanks to a good sensitivity of -39dB, the voice recording is quite clear and loud. If desired, the microphone can be turned off or removed altogether when it is not needed: if you decide to listen to music, for example, or watch a movie.
sound
Headphone sound is good for everything. Not just for games. But they show themselves most productively. The effects sound realistic, voluminous and most importantly, it is clear where they come from. For listening to music, Cloud Core is also quite suitable. The 53 mm Hi-Fi class emitters cope with the transfer of the stage with dignity. But it should be noted some inexpressiveness of mid frequencies.
With all the positive aspects of the model, it does not have a very high volume level. For a PC, this is not a problem, you can tweak it in the sound card settings, but when connected to a tablet or smartphone, everything is more complicated. Moreover, the impedance of the headphones is 60 ohms and it will not work to swing them on low-power devices.
Equipment
The delivery set is minimal compared to the more expensive versions of the HyperX Cloud and Cloud II series and contains only the most necessary: a headset with a 1-metre cable in a fabric winding, a microphone and a 2-metre extension cable, which simultaneously acts as an adapter from a 4-pin mini-jack to two separate 3.5 mm plugs.
HyperX Cloud Core is a great gaming headset for those who prefer to have everything they need at hand without overpaying for decorations and frills.

My main games are shooters, quite active games: Call of Duty and Battlefield series, Overwatch, Apex Legends, Counter-Strike, and other FPS games. The 7.1 surround sound definitely works and justifies itself (by the way, you don't need to use surround sound emulation in the operating system for this; in games, it's a matter of the sound engine, and music always sounds better in stereo).
I also sometimes take them on bike rides. The phone handles them well (though you need to insert the plug slowly), and it doesn't drain the battery much. I thought it would, but it doesn't. After two hours of riding and constant use, it didn't even consume 5% of my 5020 mAh battery.
Regarding noise isolation: During rides, I hardly hear cars nearby, I can't hear a phone ringing half a meter away on the table, and an electric kettle a meter away is almost inaudible too. For me, the noise isolation is sufficient.
