An advanced class inkjet printer positioned by the manufacturer in an inexpensive price segment. Both monochrome and colour printing is possible. The resolution is at the level of 1200x1200 dpi. This model is suitable for equipping a small office or home office. The printer is designed to receive up to 15,000 pages of printed material per month. The speed of monochrome printing, according to ISO classification, is 18 ppm, and colour — 10 ppm.
The HP OfficeJet 6230 printer uses high-yield cartridges of 400 pages for both colour and monochrome printing. This model only recognizes cartridges equipped with a proprietary HP chip. One of the key features of the product is the ability to use the mobile printing service. So, the printer works freely with HP ePrint and Apple Airprint applications. The possibility of wireless data transmission via Wi-Fi is provided. Additionally, there is a LAN network port and a classic USB connector. You can control the operation of the printer using a wide range of voice commands, services such as Amazon Alexa and Cortana are supported. According to the manufacturer, the printer works 50% more economically than any of the laser counterparts, provided that the print result is comparable in quality.

If you just need small volumes of high-quality color printing, it’s best to turn to specialized firms with high-quality photo printers. But in our case, there was a need to print not only in color and photographic quality, but also to do so quickly, with minimal delay, so as not to slow down the subsequent chain of work. Its main job, printing photographic quality images, is done superbly. The ink is pigmented, waterproof, does not run, and is moisture-resistant. A standard quality A4 page takes one and a half to two minutes to print, while high quality with more ink usage takes about three. I can't say it's instant, but we are satisfied. Especially considering that when using the right photo paper, the print quality is excellent. In black and white mode, regular text documents are printed at a pace of 18 pages per minute, which is more like a good laser printer than an inkjet. Color text and simple graphics print at half or even a third of that speed. It has a large paper tray, capable of holding around two hundred sheets of regular office paper. We have it connected via USB, but there are options for standard Ethernet connection and Wi-Fi printing. Like any classic inkjet printer, the weak point of this model is the cartridges. The capacity of the starter cartridges is tiny; they ran out after two days of experiments. To replace them, you can buy standard ones (400 pages, 360-500 UAH/pc) or high-capacity ones (825-1000 pages, 500-820 UAH/pc). |
