In the Garmin lineup of wearable gadgets, the Forerunner line of running smartwatches is considered to be the dominant one. The latest addition to it as of the end of 2020 was the model “numbered” 745.
Detailed statistics
First of all, the device will fit runners and triathletes. It keeps running statistics, records time while driving a bike or in the pool, and captures an extensive list of activity parameters. During sports, the watch measures the maximum amount of oxygen absorbed per minute of VO2 max, aerobic and anaerobic effect, calculates the recovery time and readiness for the next workout. To contemplate all the data "on a plate" is offered in the proprietary application Garmin Connect.

The model is armed with a round transflective screen with protective glass Gorilla Glass DX. For its illumination, external lighting is used. But the touch control was not delivered to the clock. But on board the Garmin Forerunner 745 has a built-in audio player with a memory of about 500 tracks, allowing you to stream music to wireless headphones.
All the ins and outs
With active GPS, the watch will work up to 13 hours, in the "GPS + music player" mode — up to 6 hours, and when using only basic smart functions — up to 7 days. The whole ins and outs of the model are revealed by an on-board pulse oximeter for measuring blood oxygen saturation, an NFC chip for paying for purchases with hours in the Garmin Pay system, as well as tight integration of the device with popular music services in the manner of Spotify, Amazon Music and Deezer.
