Model overview based on user reviews
The Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 is a compact and beautifully designed audio interface, ideal for beginners and home studios. It offers good recording quality and is powered via USB, which is convenient. The device features phantom power and a durable metal body, providing a solid price-quality ratio. However, some users have experienced issues with driver installation on Windows 7, requiring additional time and effort. While it may not match the sound quality of professional digital remote controls, it performs well for amateur use. Overall, the Scarlett 2i2 is a reliable choice for those starting out in audio recording.
Pros

Cons

Decent sound for a home studio
26 February 2019
I saw this device from a friend at his home studio, checked it out, and, as expected, took the same one for myself. I recorded vocals by Shurom 58th through it, electric, acoustic and bass guitars, keys, saxophone through an instrumental microphone, I was pleased with the result. I work in Cubase. I have never regretted the purchase, it is 100% justified.
Good recording quality.
I use Audio-Technica for headphone output.
Powered via USB port, which is a big plus for me.
Phantom power available.
Metal body.
Price-quality ratio is up to standard.
There was a problem installing drivers on Windows 7 Ultimate. I requested drivers for USB and a system update, I had to spend an hour and a half and some nerves.
Dmitro Kuse Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 more than year
I recommend it for beginners. For a pro this is a bad card. Carrots are sweet, yes.

Hmm... The sound is amateurish, cannot be compared with professional remote controls, but it will do for amateur clients. For me, the sound is terrible.
Small size, beautiful design
Noises. The sound quality is nowhere near that of a professional digital remote control. There is no crackling noise, apparently new drivers. But the actual performance of the recorded sound is a nightmare.
