The flagship squadron of professional-grade steadicams is led by the DJI RS2 heavyweight gimbal. It can withstand a load of up to 4.5 kg with a dead weight of about 1 kg.
Real weight
To tell the truth, DJI lied a little about the weight category of the device. It is listed without the battery grip, two-piece camera plate, and optional high-angle grip. Together with these accessories, the stub weighs under 1.7 kg. Some carbon fibre elements are designed to lighten its weight, in particular, two bracket brackets are made of carbon fibre.
Titan stabilization algorithms
DJI RS2 introduces new Titan stabilization algorithms. Henceforth, the steadicam better handles with camera micro-vibrations and raises the torque of the drives to provide effective image stabilization, coupled with long-focus optics (SuperSmooth mode). All three axes are locked and adjusted in turn.
Full colour touch screen
A full-colour touch screen with a diagonal of 1.4", which is built into the main handle, helps to operate the operation modes of the stub. Key parameters and fine adjustments of stabilization for each of the axes are set literally in a couple of touches to the display. To track the object of shooting from a smartphone or tablet, you only need to purchase a RavenEye wireless transmitter — this is the only thing that the DJI RS2 lacks in the standard package.
