Made by Micron

Crucial modules are now almost the cheapest branded DDR4 RAM on the market. Cheaper than them are only strips of little-known Chinese companies, which are often made from RAM chips that have not passed full quality control (in fact, rejected ones). And this is pure lottery, such memory can overheat, consume excess energy and cause system crashes, and in the worst case, simply fail in an indecently short period.

Perfect price-quality-performance ratio

Crucial is a subsidiary of Micron and therefore values its reputation and takes quality control seriously. Specifically, Crucial DDR4 SO-DIMM modules cost literally three kopecks, operate at a standard, not a cut-off frequency of 2400 MHz, and boast some kind of overclocking. Moreover, to get 2666 MHz, it will be enough to simply increase the voltage, without changing the standard timings. You can try to climb higher, but it will already be pure luck. Still, SO-DIMM modules are not so sharpened for overclocking.

Nothing extra

At the same time, do not be embarrassed by the lack of metal radiators — even after overclocking, DDR4 memory heats up weakly. Radiators work more for decoration, and their absence will only become a problem for modders who assemble PCs in a case with a transparent side wall.
