A thousand little things

At one time, Corsair's Strafe keyboards made a lot of noise and stirred up the gaming peripherals market. But competitors do not stand still, so in 2019, Corsair carried out a seemingly small update to the lineup. The Strafe RGB MK.2 comes with interchangeable keycaps for shooters and MOBA games. The thick cable has become even stronger and now it branches into two USB connectors, one of which is used to connect the keyboard itself, and a mouse or gaming headset can be connected to the second pass-through port. A panel appeared on top for adjusting the volume and controlling the player. The heavy almost one and a half kilogram body with a metal base did not change, it was already good.

Lightning Red Switches

We got our hands on a model with “red” Cherry MX switches, which stand out for their speed, linearity, minimal pressing force and a distinct click when pressing a key. As in the first iteration of Corsair Strafe, proprietary software allows you to go beyond the traditional settings of keyboard shortcuts, giving you the ability to customize each individual key — you can record any action, programme call, or macro on it.

A worthy upgrade to an already great keyboard

Summing up, we can safely say that Corsair got a worthy update to an already excellent keyboard. She is good in all aspects and she has no significant flaws. Yes, you can find fault with the mechanical latches of the stand (magnets would be more convenient) or a rattling gap stabilizer, but against the general background, these are trifles that you don’t pay much attention to.
