Chieftec Value APB-400B8

A low-cost power supply that has proven itself well when completing computers for everyday tasks. The Chieftec Value APB-400B8 does not have a wide range of equipment: the manufacturer saved on mounting bolts and even painting the case (painted with plain enamel) in order to minimize the cost of the device. But, as for the circuitry, the power supply received a fairly high-quality filling.

The whole range of protective systems is provided (against short circuit, overvoltage, overload, etc.). In addition to the fan, the board is also cooled by a number (3 pcs) of solid-state heatsinks. The main cooler is represented by an impeller with a blade diameter of 120 mm. The fan rotates on a plain bearing. This power supply does not emit much noise, so it can be used for such office computers.

The wires are fixed, using conventional wiring without a solid nylon braid. The power of the block is 400 watts. There are 3 SATA connectors, 3 — IDE and 1 — PCI-E (6 + 2 pin). There is also Floppy. The motherboard is connected with a 24 pin connector with a 20 + 4 scheme, which allows the unit to work with motherboards of any generation (both old 20-pin ones and new 24-pin ones).
