\"Canon announces the launch of the 7.1-megapixel PowerShot A570 IS camera, which complements Canon's PowerShot A-series line of affordable models for the whole family. Among the PowerShot A-series cameras, this is the first model with a DIGIC III processor that provides face detection (Face Detection), automatic red-eye reduction during playback, and ISO 1600 equivalent sensitivity setting.

The lens of the PowerShot A570 IS is equipped with an optical image stabilizer. In addition, this camera has a full manual mode and allows you to take advantage of a full range of accessories. Users can now shoot at the touch of a button or take creative photo features.

DIGIC III processor

The camera is equipped with Canon's DIGIC III image processor. This intelligent high-performance processor introduces a number of innovations, including face detection for AF/AE/flash exposure correction and improved Noise Reduction Technology. Enhanced Face Detection uses new algorithms to detect the faces of people further away from the camera. By recognizing up to nine faces in a frame, this feature determines whether a person's face is the main subject of the scene and adjusts the focus and exposure accordingly. When you use the flash, Face Detection sets the brightness of the flash so that you can correctly expose your face. This system also provides a convenient playback red-eye removal function that automatically detects and removes this unwanted effect without the need for a PC or editing software. DIGIC III's advanced noise reduction technology allows for a high ISO 1600 equivalent setting, which is also new to PowerShot A-series cameras. Using fast shutter speeds and high ISO speeds is especially useful for shooting in low light, as it reduces the risk of using a flash will deprive the ambient light of naturalness. The High ISO Auto equivalent sensitivity setting allows you to shoot at fast shutter speeds by automatically using higher ISO speeds, reducing the risk of unwanted image blur when shooting dark or fast-moving subjects.
