A portable projector for watching movies in the open air, running the Android TV operating system. The model perfectly manifests itself at parties, when outings in nature and in a relaxed homely atmosphere. It also combines a bright and clear picture with great sound from the built-in audio system, consisting of two 5W speakers and a 10W subwoofer. The BenQ GS50 is powered by DLP technology with a 500 ANSI lumens LED light source.
The operational resource for the LED source is declared at the level of more than 30 thousand hours (in the economical glow mode). The device projects images in Full HD resolution, while supporting the display of HDR content (HLG and HDR10). Autonomous operation of the projector for about 2.5 hours can be provided by a rechargeable battery with an energy capacity of 4730 mAh. The model comes with a soft carrying case. The projector focuses automatically when turned on, it displays the image on projection screens of caliber from 76 cm to 2.85 m diagonally. The model is equipped with Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth wireless communications, and for quick connection of mobile gadgets, it provided the Chromecast function.

For open spaces and home use
The BenQ brand projector, with dimensions of 154x186x146 mm, is an excellent solution for watching movies outdoors, on hikes, car camping or in the country. It is equipped with a built-in battery, which will provide up to 2.5 hours of autonomous operation, and a carrying kit. The case also has basic protection against moisture (IPX2) and against falls from a height of up to 70 cm.
The BenQ GS50 is also suitable for home use, as the included TV stick can easily be turned into a smart projector running Android TV 10.0, supporting features such as AirPlay for streaming from Apple devices. However, it is worth noting that there is no official Netflix app available, which can be used via a browser or third-party apps such as Aptoide.
The projector is equipped with a speaker system with a 10W subwoofer and a universal USB-C port that functions as a DisplayPort and for power supply (PD 45W).
Easy to set up and durable
The process of setting up the projector is simple and convenient, thanks to autofocus and automatic trapezoid correction, controlled by the remote control. The image can be projected on a diagonal from 30 to 112 inches at a distance of 1 to 3 meters. The LED lamp of the project has a working life of 20 thousand hours.
Although the model supports Full HD resolution, it also correctly reproduces 4K content. But the picture may be inferior in contrast (dynamic contrast 100,000:1) and brightness (500 ANSI lumens). These parameters are good for portable solutions, but may be insufficient for some movie viewing scenarios. Otherwise, the BenQ GS50 is a universal projector with an adequate price tag.
